Clark County Enterprise Zone

The Clark County Enterprise Zone was established on July 1, 1990. An enterprise zone is a specific area designated by the State of Illinois in cooperation with a local government to receive various tax incentives and other benefits to stimulate economic activity.

Specific areas of the following Clark County communities are within the Clark County Enterprise Zone: Casey, Clark Center, Marshall, Martinsville, West Union and Westfield.

Local incentives include:

  • A sales tax exemption on building/construction materials, property tax abatement for improvements and/or an Investment Tax Credit.
  • The Enterprise Zone Administrator must approve all applications before a project begins in order to qualify for incentives.

Interested parties can see if their site or building qualifies for any Enterprise Zone incentives and obtain a Clark County Enterprise Zone-Commercial/Industrial Project Application by calling Steve Calhoun, Administrator at (217) 826-8084.
